River Guides
Our professional Bighorn River Guides are here to show you everything this great river has to offer. Our guides provides all the flies you will need from their hand-tied collection, but never an end of day fly bill. Each day involves a pre-trip discussion with your guide about the current Bighorn River fishing conditions and as well as your fishing preferences. From that discussion your guide will decide on a section of the river to float.
Our lodge is very close to the major boat launches so drive time to the river is just minutes. You’ll load up in the boat and be on your way down the Bighorn. Fishing from the drift boat while floating is very productive and for some is the best way to experience the river for many. However, many anglers prefer fishing while wading the river and wish to not fish from the drift boat. Most days are a mix of both methods as we fish while floating from hole to hole, but sometimes the current fishing conditions makes one method far more fruitful than the other.
Your day ends up pulling off at one of the boat ramps and the drive back to the lodge is usually about 15 to 30 minutes depending on the section floated. Your Bighorn River Guide will then drop you off at the lodge. Our restaurant is open late giving you and your guide the flexibility of making it back without worrying about the one 7PM lodge meal of the night....
